sangha dinner

GMBS would like to invite you to join us for dinner out!

On the first Sunday of each month, members of the sangha gather after our Everyday Dharma meeting to have dinner together.  We choose a moderately priced restaurant nearby in the Castro area.

These dinners are unstructured.  There is no agenda; no timetable.  They are a wonderful opportunity to get to know each other.  Our sense of sangha - literally "community" - is born out of our mutual Dharma practice deepened through fellowship.

In Buddhist tradition, we take refuge in the three jewels:  The Buddha, the Dharma, and the Sangha.  We come together with a mutual interest in the Buddha's teachings, to hear the Dharma, and find support for our practice in the community of Sangha.  The Sangha deepens our practice by helping us understand our interconnectedness to each other, even with those who are seemingly unlike ourselves.  The development of fellowship in the Sangha helps deepen the experience of that practice.  In so doing, we sweeten the experience of the Sangha as a whole, and indeed, of everyone who come into contact with us.

Please contact Albert Kaba if you have any questions.  We hope you can join us!
